Union County Human Resources Association typically meets on the first Wednesday of each month to provide an educational and networking opportunity with other human resources professionals to learn about the latest trends, law changes, and topics affecting your business. Membership Levels
Professional Membership: Professional members include those individuals engaged in HR positions within their organizations, are faculty members in HR related curriculum with an accredited institution or attorneys or consultants practicing/counseling/advising in HR management. Professional membership may vote and hold office.
Associate Membership: Associate members include those individuals whose companies provide products and/or services that directly support the HR community. Associate members may vote and hold office.
Student Membership: Student members include those individuals who are enrolled as full-time or part-time students at freshman standing or higher, in an accredited institution. The student must be able to provide verification of demonstrated emphasis in HR management subjects and verification of the institution’s HR related degree or certificate program. Student members may not vote or hold office.

- We assist our members in the best practices for performing their HR related duties in a legally compliant manner.
- We are dedicated to serving the needs of HR professionals and senior business executives and managers by enhancing our members' professional growth.
- We offer networking with HR professionals who help each other with in the multiple and complex facets of HR
- We obtain guest speakers on a multitude of practical and legal HR related topics. Our speakers typically consist of employment attorneys, employee benefits experts, HR professionals, and representatives from agencies such as the U.S. Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Employment Security Commission. Most of our meetings qualify for SHRM and HRCI credit, including our annual legal updates. Our luncheons provide HR professionals with an opportunity to spend time together to share information.
Membership Period and Dues
Membership renewals are due on a 12-rolling basis.
- Regular Full Member: Pay a $175.00 fee to cover membership dues and the costs of all lunches for the full membership year.
- SHRM Member: Pay a $150.00 fee to cover membership dues and the costs of all lunches for the full membership year.
- Student Member: Free and no cost for lunches for the full membership year.

A: By joining a local SHRM-affiliated chapter, you'll gain access to:

Q: As a SHRM member, am I automatically a member of a local chapter?
A: No. SHRM membership is separate from membership in a local chapter. Each chapter has its own membership application process and dues structure.

Q: When I join a local chapter, should I notify SHRM?
A: Yes. Upon membership in your local chapter, please contact SHRM to update your member record. This is important because your local chapter receives financial support from SHRM based on your membership.
Q: Can I still join UCHRA if I am an unemployed HR Professional?
A: Yes, of course! In fact, that is probably the best possible place for you to be if you are unemployed or under-employed. Being active in UCHRA allows you to network with other HR professionals, learn about job openings, and stay current with HR trends that are emerging. Being a part of a local SHRM Chapter also shows you are committed to continuing education, as many of UCHRA's sessions are approved for the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) credit.
